The week just flew by so quickly!  We read Zathura today, which is a sequel to Jumanji.  We were able to make lots of predictions as we read.  Lots of people had seen the movie, and we were able to make good connections between this book, the movie, Jumanji, and our own relationsips with our siblings.  “Strategies Good Readers Use” was a Smartboard mini-lesson for today.  The most important reading strategy is to reread!  We also had some time to work in our Writer’s Notebooks.  Some students began working on stories that could be a sequel to Zathura.  Have a great weekend!
