Important Note: We were so busy with our computer activities today that I forgot to write a homework assignment on the board.  At the end of the day, I told students that they could choose whether or not to do reading response tonight since we hadn’t written it down.  It’s okay if they want to take the night off! :)

Even though we had to have rainy day indoor recess, we had a great day!  After taking our spelling test, we reviewed the expectations for electronic etiquette that we discussed yesterday.  Some of the highlights are the importance of using good writing skills and writing about appropriate topics.  This PowerPoint lesson is attached here as a pdf.  Students were able to log into their email accounts and set up an address book of classmates’ email addresses.  Students also edited their paragraphs about their favorite Chris Van Allsburg books.  One class was able to post these paragraphs as comments on the Class Activities blog.  Check it out!
