Today we continued to learn about using storyboards.  We read A Bad Case of Stripes. We then used a storyboard template to sketch and write text about the main ideas of the story, including the beginning and ending.  We also had a good literature discussion about connections and theme.  This story has a wonderful theme: be yourself and don’t let others convince you to be something you are not.

Folders went home today.  A hard copy of our school’s Winning Habits also went home.  We had a class discussion to review these expectations.  Please tear off the last page, sign it, and return it tomorrow.  Also, please remind your student of the importance of self-control at all times.  We encountered several challenges today.  We value and appreciate your support!

Remember that tomorrow is collaborative planning day, and students will be dismissed at 11:40.  Please send a note if there is any change in your child’s transportation from what you indicated on the blue sheet.
