Today was a terrific day!  Everyone made great efforts to follow the expectations of our Roadrunner Responsibilities.  Focused attention was given by all to improving self-control, and we observed excellent results.  We had mini-lessons on character development and setting, which are important literary elements as we read and write.  Thinking about these elements helps our comprehension as we read. We must also include these ”ingredients” as we write fiction so that we will have “tasty” stories.  Students began the prewriting stage of their digital stories by creating an Open Mind web to plan story details related to characters and setting.  We will continue to develop these stories next week.
