Today we had some extended self-selected reading time. We are working on thinking about thinking while we read. Students were given sticky notes today to jot down things they thought about while they were reading. We’re especially trying to notice big ideas, connections, or questions we may have. Students will soon be posting their thoughts about their independent reading material on their blogs.
I have placed links to our Class Activities blog and Blogmeister Student Blogs on our Global Horizons webpage. Blogmeister is a protected environment for student blogging. All student postings and comments come to me to be approved before they go online. You are invited and welcome to post a comment on your student’s entries. Just remember that it might not show up for a day or two until I give approval.
There will be a spelling test tomorrow. On Friday there will be a Daily Geography quiz and a social studies test on the Inventors unit, Chapter 4, Lesson 1. There is a link on the Blogroll to a Quia review activity.
