We began the morning with a Red Ribbon follow-up activitiy, an assembly featuring a magician.  The program was called The Magic’s in You!  It was a lot of fun and provided a good message about making wise choices.  In Block 1 Mrs. Stone came in to do a lesson on monitoring comprehension.  She shared a book called Fox.  As she was reading, she paused at times for us to write down what we were thinking during the story.  Then we had conversation about that with a partner.  We are trying to help students focus on the fact that reading is thinking.  It seems that lately we are talking about thinking in everything we do!  Our writing activity today was to continue publishing neat copies of our role model essays.
