I apologize for the lapse in posting. The site went down and lost its template, so I was unable to get it to open in Explorer. It’s been a busy week! I was out on Monday on a trip to visit universities in Pennsylvania and Virginia with my daughter, who is preparing to apply for graduate school. Mrs. Amick did a wonderful job of filling in!
Students have been taking Cog-At testing this week. It’s a test that measures thinking skills, not content. It only takes about 30 minutes each morning, and we will be finished tomorrow. Block 1 began reading a book called Three Names by Patricia MacLachlan today. Students are continuing to learn to monitor comprehension by writing notes about what they are thinking while we read. Block 2 students worked in small guided reading groups. Our spelling test will be tomorrow since we were out of school for Election Day.
