Happy Thanksgiving!

The wintry weather caught us a little by surprise!  We enjoyed reading A Turkey for Thanksgiving by Eve Bunting today.  We noticed several examples of figurative language and appreciated the surprise ending.  Students began a new writing project today, an essay for the Lt. Governor’s Writing Contest.  After reviewing the four areas of the PACT writing rubric, students selected a topic from a list of four.  These will be finished next week.
Folders went home today.  Included was a blue paper to be returned to indicate your child’s plan for next Wednesday’s early release day.
I told my students today that as I count my blessings, I think of each one of them. I hope each of you has a very happy Thanksgiving and a joyful time with your family!
